82mm is a second generation tulip lens hood. It has One Screw In Type 82mm Bayonet Adapter With Locking Ring - bayonet lens hood that can be fixed in either way i.e; in reverse or standard way. It is a Lens Hood that is designed for lenses that have a wide angle or telephoto zoom range. Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens.
