- Effective thickening agent & film former for hair gels, hair sprays, toothpaste but also for other adhesive powders and gels. The usage concentration is limited only by viscosity. It is pH stable, non-ionic & colorless. Best combined with carbomer & other thickeners to give stiffer hold in hair gels.
- Soluble in water and many organic solvents and it forms hard, transparent, glossy film. PVP is compatible with most inorganic salts and many resins.
- USE: Typical use level 1-40%, about 4-7% in hair gels. Add to the water phase of formulations, hydrate & then mix well. For external use only.
