These oils have good oxidation and thermal stability and are selected from base stock of low volatility and Conradson Carbon Residue value. These oils can be used in heat transfer systems designed to use mineral oil as the thermic fluid. For long service life, product should be heated gradually and not subject to thermal shocks. To avoid cracking of the oil and subsequent coke formation, direct flame impingement and high skin temperatures on the tubes should be prevented.
