Virtjoule Heat-Set Insert Tip that is compatible with the Hakko FX-888D and Weller SP40NKUS Soldering Irons come with a size M3 tip and quantity 30 M3 size inserts. With this soldering iron tip as an additional 3D printing accessory, you can put a professional finish on your projects. These products are designed and manufactured in the USA. We created the original long shank tips for the Hakko FX-888D iron. A longer shank than other tips allows you to reach deeper into 3D-printed parts and tight corners to install heat-set inserts without touching your iron and melting the plastic. The square shoulders of the tip allow it to slip from the brass insert being installed, preventing it from being caught or pulled out which could ruin the part. M3 is a popular size for Arduino circuit board enclosures. Our soldering tools are meticulously crafted. After the tip is machined, each one is wet-tumbled to clean all cutting oil and deburr any sharp edges. Then they are dry tumbled for a minimum of 12 hours to finish polish for perfectly smooth edges that easily slip away from the insert when installed. EASE OF USE: These installation tips install by sliding over the ceramic heating element of the Hakko irons, just like the soldering iron tip, while still fitting in the 1/4\" chamber of a Weller SP40NKUS. We have not tested every possible soldering iron. Most iron makers have dozens of models that may not be compatible and so it's important to check your model number for compatibility.
