You find yourself entering the fabled realm of Boletaria courtesy the Demon's Souls video game where you witness King Allant XII exploring indefatigably in order to augment his powers. He's not content with the boon granted to him of spiritual prowess by Nexus and decides to again go back to the Nexus. In the process of returning, King Allant accidentally arouses the Old One, which had hitherto been in perpetual slumber.
