The venue of the game is Central London and it is played by running and racing through the streets of the city trying to nab the culprit who is an imaginary character, Mister X, who is being chased by the detectives in a bid to catch him. The Funskool Scotland Yard board game provides the players to practice methods of strategic planning, quick decision making and swift moves in order to nab the culprit. The player taking the role of the culprit too has to be quick in making decisions and implementing them in order to give the detectives the slip. How to Play the Game? First one among the groupplaying the Funskool Scotland Yard board game take the character of Mister X and elusive bandit. The others taken on the role of nabbing him and are Funskool Scotland Yard detectives. The cards are first shuffled and each player draws a card to decide their point of station where they will start their chase. The chase consists of either taking a taxi, bus or the underground tube. Each move is noted on the travel log but only the mode of transport is noted and not the place. The other players try and co-operate and decide on the directions they need to move in to catch the offender. The maximum number of moves allowed is 24 and if he remains free till then he is declared the winner otherwise whoever nabs him is the winner.
