• Stronger contra springs should definitely be part of the setup for performance upgrade. Stronger engines often suffer V-belt slippage. This spring puts back pressure on the back converter/driven pulley. Which in turn influences the \"behavior\" of the variator. When the fan belt starts to slip, or the torque changes while accelerating or when the CVT, despite variator adjustment with the roller, just doesn't reach optimal rpm's. Stronger springs will exert more gripping pressure on the V-belt.
• For maximum gain in acceleration, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to performance rollers, eg Dr Pulley sliders
• Note: Installation will require for the engine CVT cover to be opened for the installation. Preferable by a mechanic or someone knowledgeable with scooter engines.
