• Plug the glue gun into an electrical outlet. It will take a few minutes for the glue gun to heat up fully. Most glue guns have an indicator light that turns on when they are ready to use.
• Insert a glue stick into the back of the glue gun. Make sure it fits snugly but can still be pushed through the gun with the trigger.
• Gently squeeze the trigger on the glue gun. This will push the glue stick forward into the heating chamber, where it will melt.
• Once the glue is sufficiently melted, you can start applying it to your project. Be cautious, as the glue will be very hot. Keep your fingers away from the nozzle to avoid burns.
• Apply the glue in a steady, even bead, moving the gun at the desired speed. Adjust the amount of pressure on the trigger to control the flow of glue.
