Reef MicroFuel is gentle on the system, it provides an alcohol free, non-flammable and sugar free rich carbon source for accelerated growth of bacterioplankton for food sources for corals and other invertebrates as well as for the crucial functions of nitrification, denitrification, nutrient assimilation and remineralization. Proper use of Reef MicroFuel will result in reduction of nitrates and phosphates to very low levels providing for a cleaner and more beautiful aquarium. Use in aquarium keeping. Reef MicroFuel works well, as a growth accelerator, for natural bacteria in the marine aquarium by stimulating reproduction, and particularly well with microbial cultures such as BacterGenM or BacterGenMD. It can be used in place of alcohol or other food sources in denitrators, as well. Continuum recommends that you consider using BacterGenM regularly, along with the Reef MicroFuel to replenish and accelerate the growth and maintenance of both aerobic and anaerobic bacterial populations in your aquarium. This will reduce the levels of toxic ammonia, and nitrites, as well as phosphates and organic pollutants.
