Fipronil is belonging to the family phenylpyrazole. Fipronil kills fleas within 24 hours, ticks (Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes scapularis, Ixodes ricinus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Haemaphysalis flava and Haemaphysalis campanulata) and lice within 48 hours after application of the product.
